The River House is a non-profit, multi arts center specializing in educating the community and providing local artist a venue to show their artistic talents.
Internationally touring, Patuxent Music recording artist, The Kevin Prater Band will present a Bluegrass Music workshop featuring instrumental (Fiddle, Mandolin, Banjo, Bass, Guitar and Dobro) and vocal skills 3:30 - 5:00 pm. A concert from 7 - 9 pm sharing Traditional Bluegrass, Gospel, Classic Country and Grassed Up Vintage Rock. Kevin Prater has entertained in 24 Countries in his 38 year career. He has been part of many award winning recorded projects (Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Recorded Event of the Year") during his twelve year stint with Grammy Nominated, James King Band. He has also been nominated as "Banjo Player of the Year" and twice been honored by the Great State of Kentucky House of Representatives for Preserving and Promoting "Pure Kentucky Bluegrass Music".
